The Freedom to Learn Curriculum is an educational concept introduced by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in 2020. This concept aims to give freedom to students to determine their own learning path, so that students can optimally develop their potential. This study uses a qualitative descriptive technique. The research location in this research was at MA 1 Yogyakarta grade 10. The results in this study were that the learning objectives of Islamic religious education in the Free Learning Curriculum were to develop the full potential of students, namely intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual. Some of the specific objectives of learning Islamic religious education in the Free Learning Curriculum are to increase students' understanding of Islamic teachings and Islamic values. Developing students' awareness of the importance of practicing Islamic values in everyday life. Equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to carry out worship properly. Islamic cultural history subjects are usually taught at the secondary education level, both at the high school level and at the MA level (Madrasah Aliyah) and one of them is taught in grade 10 at MA 1 Yogyakarta. This subject aims to provide understanding and knowledge about the history of Islamic civilization, including culture and intellectual development related to Islam. In MA 1 Yogyakarta, it is necessary to evaluate the learning of Islamic cultural history. It is important to consider that each evaluation method has advantages and disadvantages.
