Abstract

The development of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) from the X congressto the XXI congress where from the congress resulted in various problem solving, planning and realizing the ideals and goals of PGRI as a professional organization through the holding of the X congress to the XXI congress in 1962 to 2013. X inOctober 1962 produced the PGRI principle which became the principle of Pancasila and the Manipol-Usdek, followed by the XI congress from the political field to produce Pancasila as the basis of the State as stated in the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution and in the field of organization to make PGRI a member of the WCOTP (World Confederation of Organization of Teaching Profession). In 1970 in Bandung the XII congress was held which resulted in a review of the AD/ART of PGRI including the symbol of PGRI, Mars PGRI and so on, followed up by the XIII congress in 1973 with the results of the determination of the code of ethics for Indonesian teachers. On 26-30 June 1979 the XIV congress was held in Jakarta that PGRI was willing to host the 27th World Teacher Congress, followed by the XV congress on 16-21 July in Jakarta with theresults of Completion of AD/ART and these are the main points principal of PGRI for the next five years (1984-1989).
