Abstract

Ketoprak as a Cultural Art in Jurang Blimbing Village, Tembalang: Perservation Efforts and Challenges in the Era of Modernization] Ketoprak is a traditional Javanese performing art that still exists today, despite various challenges brought by modernization. This study aims to explore the existence of ketoprak in Jurang Blimbing Village, Tembalang District, focusing on preservation efforts, community involvement, and the obstacles encountered. The research applied a descriptive qualitative method through field observation, interviews with artists, and literature review. The findings show that ketoprak in this village is still preserved through the role of local art communities, although the younger generation tends to show decreasing interest.
