This study aims to analyze the effect of financial literacy on financial well-being with financial behavior as a mediating variable and gender as a moderating variable in the Pontianak City community. This study uses a quantitative method with the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach to test the relationship between variables. The results of the study indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on financial well-being. In addition, financial behavior is proven to play a significant role as a mediator in the relationship, where financial literacy encourages positive financial behavior that has a direct impact on financial well-being. Gender was also found to have a significant moderating effect, indicating differences in financial management between men and women. This study concludes that financial literacy and financial behavior are important elements that are interrelated in improving financial well-being, with the influence of gender that needs to be considered in financial literacy improvement strategies. These findings provide practical implications for policy makers and community organizations in designing gender-based financial literacy programs to improve community welfare as a whole.
